I’m sure every firm has had this problem (or at least I hope so–otherwise this post will make us look sort of schmucky), so I’ll ask what’s been on the Mozzers’ minds lately: what do you do when a client doesn’t pay you?
At SEOmoz we typically have a payment structure where our client provides a payment up front, another payment halfway through the contract or after a certain deliverable has been completed, and the rest is paid upon completion of our services. Obviously, these payments are pretty big chunks of change, so timely payments are always welcome and appreciated.
We pride ourselves on having a great, friendly working relationship with our clients, but lately it’s been a bit difficult to be our usual sunny selves because we are having problems with two clients not delivering payment for the work we have provided. Without getting into too much detail […]
